We are World Hope International Sierra Leone, and have been working in Sierra Leone since 1997. We are a Christian relief and development non-governmental organization (NGO) working with vulnerable and exploited communities to alleviate poverty, suffering and injustice through our programs on Anti-Trafficking in Persons, community health, education, agriculture, WASH and enterprise.
Currently, we have a job vacancy for the following position: Receptionist & Admin Assistant – that will be stationed in Freetown, working with World Hope International Sierra Leone programmes and supports to achieve the following below:
The role of the Receptionist & Admin Assistant is to greet clients and visitors to the office. This position also requires basic administrative functions like handling office tasks, such as filing, scanning documents, setting up for meetings and managing the conference rooms, maintaining visitors’ log book and badges. It also requires the implementation of daily cash management and be a focal person with our bank in terms of submitting salary request and other functions as required from time to time.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To take and relay messages to the appropriate staff.
Greet persons entering the organization and directs persons to correct destination.
Channel queries from the public and clients to the required persons for action.
Ensure knowledge of staff movement in and out of the organization and monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
Provide general administrative and clerical support
Tidy and maintain the reception area
Administer daily petty cash system
Ensure vouchers are completed appropriately and coded that pass through the Receptionist & Admin Assistant’s office.
Organize conference and meeting room bookings.
Diploma or degree in a related field.
Job related experience and knowledge
Experience working with an NGO local or international is a plus.
Prior knowledge of administration.
Previous reception experience is an added advantage.
Computer literacy in word and excel a must.
Timeliness to work.
