GOAL is long established in Sierra Leone and has teams in Western Area Urban (Freetown), Kambia and Kenema Districts. We contribute to poverty and vulnerability reduction. We focus on maternal, child and adolescent health, rural water supply, urban waste management and promoting social inclusion and decent work.
GOAL, along with its Consortium partners of Unite of Seve Life an Salone, with fund from FCDO\DFID are implementing Saving Lives (Phase II). The Saving Lives programme seeks to support the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) to save women’s and children’s lives by improving the quality, availability, and accessibility of reproductive, maternal, new-born, child, and adolescent health services. This will be achieved by increasing the utilization of quality RMNCAH services through a multifaceted approach that seeks to strengthen quality, expand access, and build the demand for RMNCAH services in Sierra Leone. The programme extension period will commence from January – September 2022 .

Job Title: District Clinical Mentor
Location: Kambia District
Report to: Health Programme Manager
GOAL is recruiting for one (1) District Clinical Mentors (DCM) for the Saving Lives programme in Sierra Leone based in Kambia. The DCM is the most crucial link in the programme, providing direct clinical mentorship to facility and hospital staff in the respective districts. The Saving Lives DCM is working under the oversight of the District Delivery Manager in Kambia District.
To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced Clinical Health Officer or Midwife with at least five (5) years’ experiences. Demonstrate ability to Mentor and Supervise others, experience in providing clinical mentorship/trainings in Sierra Leone, including on RMNCAH-related areas will be preferred. Excellent English and Krio skills, both speaking and written, ability to work under pressure, ability to develop good success stories and ability to write quality monthly report.
