Area Agriculture coordinator
Duty Station: Kambai & Pujehun District at Chiefdom level
Duration of contract: 8 months
Ensure effective implementation of approved and planned support activities at the field level on time and provide technical support to frontline staffs
Selection of improved suitable varieties of crops for the implementation of Orange Flesh Sweet Potato (OFSP) yellow cassava, Pumkin, okra, Groundnut & millet.
Collect necessary information for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual reports as per project plan.
Maintain field follow up timely and frequently
Identify technical and other problems and try to solve them immediately
- Person specification
- Good knowledge of query language
- Extremely flexible and has the ability to cope with stressful situations.
- Strong, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize task and manage time efficiently.
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Willingness and ability to work in the provinces.
B.Sc in Agriculture from a recognized university
- Knowledge of modern agronomic practices on vegetable and leguminous crops.
- Ensure relevance, the consistency, the quality and the efficiency of the activities implemented.
- BSc /MSc in Agriculture, with expertise in agricultural technical support and support to farmers’ organization.
- Computers and Motor bike riding skills
Experience (Including sector/industry):
Minimum 0 – 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar position.
