The CARE International in Sierra Leone has received financing from the German Government through KfW toward the cost of the ECRHS II and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for WASH Infrastructure Upgrade in PHUs.
CARE now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders who have proof of experience working in remote parts of Northern Sierra Leone, with strong technical team and good equipment to carry out construction and upgrade of Sanitation infrastructures in selected PHUs within a period of about three months. The works will include; construction of waste management units, latrines.(See attached scope of works for brief description of works). Bidders may bid for a maximum of two contracts/lots, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.
Bidding will be conducted by means of the National Competitive Bidding procedure with qualification as specified in the KfW “Guidelines for Procurement of Consulting Services, Works, Plant, Goods and Non-Consulting Services in Financial Cooperation with Partner Countries” (“KfW Guidelines 2021 version” : https://www.kfw-entwicklungsbank.de/PDF/Download-Center/PDF-Dokumente-Richtlinien/FZ-Vergaberichtlinien-V-2021-EN.pdf).

A complete set of bidding documents is available to interested Bidders at CARE Head Office 11 Old Railway Line, Wilberforce, Freetown and at CARE Field offices in: Bombali at Magburaka Highway, Makambo, Makeni, in Port Loko at 1 Marion street, Port Loko, and in Koinadugu at the Kabala Government Hospital Compound.
Bids must be delivered to the address indicated in the clause ITB 22.1 of the bidding document on or before Monday 29th November 2021 14:30 Hours GMT. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security.
