Mediterranean Shipping Company SL Limited invites applications from accomplished professionals to join our team as 

 

Position: Deputy Head of Sales & Documentation

 

Contract type: Local

 

Purpose:

    • Provide support to the Head of Sales & Documentation and Top Management team in driving business growth, manage team performance, encourage team building, and enforce/implement commercial strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of the Company through the promotion of its services, ensuring implementation of its trade policies and compliance with trade regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure close collaboration with the Head of Sales & Documentation and Top Management to develop sales strategy for the Agency 
  • Build on the Agency’s strengths and proposition to promote market leading position.
  • Together with the Head of Sales & Documentation, attract new business through client meetings and develop strong relationships.
  • Develop the skills, knowledge and performance of the Team to create experts and future talents. 
  • Instrumental role in cross team collaboration – Finance, Operations and Logistics 
  • Take charge of the implementation of HR processes (e.g. Performance Management, Leave, disciplinary procedure) within the Sales & Documentation as directed by the Head of Sales or Top Management to attain high standards in performance, completeness, accuracy or punctuality
  • Supervise, train & coach team members within the Department and ensure they are always up to date with the Agency’s guidelines and latest best practices.
  • Lead by example with regards to compliance with the Agency’s policies & Unit work procedures and encourage compliance within department to have a focused and aligned work team.

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • At least 5 years’ experience in shipping, logistics and international trade and awareness of local and international regulations.
  • Experience working in a large and multinational corporation or company.
  • At least 5 years’ experience within a regulated and well-structured corporate environment
  • Able to demonstrate success through team leadership
  • Extensive commercial awareness, knowledge, experience and skills. Experience in corporate sales, marketing and or business growth is an added advantage. 
  • High level reporting and presentation skills
  • Strong customer engagement presence 
  • Strong communicator and negotiator
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving methods and skills. Strong understanding of corporate culture, etiquette and professionalism is a plus.
