Population Services International (PSI) is a global nonprofit organization focused on the encouragement of healthy behavior and affordability of healthy products. PSI was founded in 1970 to improve reproductive health using commercial marketing strategies and has expanded to work in over 50 countries in the areas of Malaria, Family planning, HIV, diarrhea, pneumonia, and sanitation. PSI headquartered in Washington, DC.


PSI works in partnership with local government, ministries of health and local organizations to create health solutions that are built to last. 


In 2019, PSI began to be implementing the global US President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) Malaria project, with the goal of working with national governments to scale up best practices and innovations in malaria case management, control of malaria in pregnancy, and the introduction of other malaria drug-based approaches.


In Sierra Leone, the overall scope of the project is:

  1. To support the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS) through the National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) and other stakeholders in Malaria Diagnosis, treatment and Prevention and Management of Malaria in Pregnancy (MIP).
  2. Improve access to and quality of drug-based approaches and pilot or scale newer approaches.
  3. To strengthen the provision of clinical services needed in a cohesive way and integrate these services into the national health system while encouraging quality and sustainability. 


The PMI Impact Malaria project is hereby undertaking the soliciting of proposal from companies who are interested to provide internet services to PSI Office in Sierra Leone.

 The successful bidder shall be contracted for this purpose for initial period of one (1) year e.g. 

(1st August 2022 to 31stJuly 2023) or earliest mutually agreed date with an option for renewal up to another two years, upon satisfactory evaluation of performance.

As a USAID contract project, the PMI Impact Malaria project is subject to applicable Federal regulations and provisions.  


Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked tender for Provision of High-Speed Dedicated Internet connectivity Number: ‘’PSI-SL/2022/06/003’’

The inspection and picking of the bidding document may be done during working hours from 7:30am to 17:00pm from Monday to Friday and from 9:00am to 12:00 noon between now and the 6th of July 2022.
