During my days as pupil of the Sierra Leone Law School, was engaged in rigorous studies and research. I participated in series of presentations and attended courtroom proceedings. I was also able to foster healthy relationship with colleagues, through group studies, research work and presentations. I learnt the importance of teamwork, as well as working independently. I was also able to learn the values of honesty and integrity, and the importance of handwork. Above all, I was trained to put into perspective and practice those theories and concepts learnt within the walls of the classroom into real life situations.

Work & Experience
The NMC is a consortium of young visionaries from different universities in Sierra Leone, who recognize the profound significance of possessing sound advocacy abilities coupled with a firm grip on the court's language. The NMC promotes the culture of mooting among law students in Sierra Leone, facilitate the training of law students who aspire to be mooters and prepare them for both national and international moot competitions, organize workshops, trainings and seminars on oral and written legal advocacy for students.
As Welfare Officer, my role is to coordinate and advocate for the overall welfare of the membership of the council, and its activities.
FALAS is a unifying body of law students across the African continent. It is an international, non-partisan and forward-looking organization. As a unified student body, FALAS is committed to building an emerging generation of young lawyers who are engaged in changing the narratives and adding value. The primary aim of the federation is to provide opportunities for African law students, bridge the existing gap, proffer valuable solutions to their challenges, build a network of outstanding students who would collaborate towards a common future and ensure that African law students are attuned to new realities and global practices.
As Treasures, my responsibilities were:
• Efficiently manage the finances of FALAS, Sierra Leone Chapter
• Ensure proper banking of the chapters’ funds
• Book-keeping of the chapters’ funds
• Keep proper records of the chapters’ funds
• Give proper account of the chapters’ funds
• Promote the growth and efficiency of FALAS, Sierra Leone Chapter
The National Youth Service is a government-run programme established in 2016. The NYS aim is to prepare young graduates for the job market by providing the necessary practical experience and skills. The NYS also aim to foster national development, promotes youth participation in governance, and cultivate a sense of disciplined, patriotic service among young people.
At the NYS, my responsibilities were:
• Worked with employees who have gained wealth of experience to enhance the youth service member to gain experience
• Undertook community development services
• Submitted monthly reports on various activities
• Participated in youth skill development trainings
• Represented the service in various meetings, workshops and trainings
Restless Development Sierra Leone is a youth-led global charity. The charity works with young people in their communities to ensure they have the required support, tools and opportunities to change their futures. Setting up their own local businesses, helping girls stay in school, taking action on climate change, protect children and vulnerable groups.
As an Intern in the charity's Public Financial Management (PFM) Project, my responsibilities were:
• Coordinated with appropriate accountability and anti-corruption institutions to track the utilization and management of Covid-19 resources
• Collected data on access and utilization of Covid-19 funds and resources by affected persons
• Exchanged vital information with DFID funded sister programmes
• Documented best practices and reported in the form of case studies for the attention of the public
• Fostered and maintained relevant synergic ties with NSA’s, Local Councils and relevant MDAs within the district
• Interfaced with citizens to corroborate data
• Prepared and submitted reports on deliverables
• Interfaced leased with key stakeholders within the district
• Engaged in various radio discussion programmes

As a Youth Accountability Volunteer in the charity's Public Financial Management (PFM) Project, my responsibilities were:
• Reported to the charity through the Field Officer on the development and challenges of the project
• Organized various community meetings on the sensitization on the dangers of corruption
• Conducted both Tax and Corruption Perception Surveys using both the KOBO collect and ODK tools
• Interfaced leased with key stakeholders within the district
• Exchanged vital information with DFID funded sister programmes
• Documented best practices and reported in the form of case studies for the attention of the public
• Fostered and maintained relevant synergic ties with NSA’s, Local Councils and relevant MDAs within the district
• Engaged in various radio discussion programmes
• Interfaced with citizens to corroborate data

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs is a government ministry responsible for addressing the social needs of vulnerable population, including women, children, the aged, and people with disabilities. Its mission is to empower and transform the lives of those groups through the implementation of laws, policies, and programmes that promote their welfare and safeguard their rights.
As an Intern, my duties were:
• Reunified children to their respective families
• Mediated between couples, and families
• Promoted the welfare of children, women the aged, and the disabled in general
• Participated in various meetings, workshops and dialogue sessions of the ministry
• Collaborated with various partners in seeking and promoting gender issues affecting our nation
• Attended numerous radio discussion sessions
• Organized community mobilization and sensitisation programmes
• Interfaced leased with key stakeholders within the district
• Identified deprived children and families and solicit support for them
• Engaged in various forms of advocacy
My duties as Quarantine Officer during the Ebola Virus Disease outbreak were:
• Quarantined individuals, homes and communities exposed to a confirm case(s) for the period of 21 days
• Facilitated the provision of food and non-food items to quarantined homes and communities
• Daily visits and monitoring of quarantined homes and communities
• Isolated high-risk persons from low-risk persons
• Line listing of quarantined homes and communities
• Recommends for a re-quarantine where the need be
• Released quarantined individuals, homes and communities after their recommended period
• Engaged in serious community sensitisation and engagements
• Provided psychosocial support to affected individuals, families, homes and communities
• Participated in daily debriefings, both morning and evening
• Interfaced with various stakeholders and partners within the district as a way of collaboration
• Maintained and observed all preventive measures
• Provided daily, weekly and monthly reports to the African Union, the District Health Management Team, and the District Emergency Ebola Response Centre
• Helped in preventing all forms of discriminations against infected persons, and affected individual, homes, families and communities
• Conducted case management and assessment
