About RAMLabs: 

RAMLabs (Research and Adaptive Monitoring Labs) is a research and advisory firm established in 2020 by West Africa–based researchers, specialising in cutting-edge social experiments, rigorous monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) systems, and programme quality improvement strategies. We work with leading international universities, NGOs, private sector actors and government ministries to design and implement high-quality studies and evaluations that inform policy and practice across sectors including health, education, livelihoods and urban resilience. As an enumerator, you will join a team that manages complex qualitative and quantitative data collection, supports innovative Randomised Control Trials and other field experiments, and contributes to evidence that shapes decisions in Sierra Leone and the wider region

Position Overview

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Field Enumerators to support data collection activities for ongoing research projects. The role involves conducting interviews, facilitating discussions, and gathering accurate field data to inform program decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct household and community interviews using structured questionnaires.
  • Record responses accurately on digital devices.
  • Ensure confidentiality and ethical handling of respondent information.
  • Report daily progress and challenges to supervisors.
  • Follow field protocols and instructions strictly.
  • Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) with community leaders, stakeholders, and relevant institutions.
  • Facilitate Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with diverse participant groups, ensuring inclusivity and neutrality.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of a Diploma or currently enrolled for a bachelor’s degree programme.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English and local languages.
  • Basic knowledge of smartphones/tablets for data entry.
  • Prior experience in surveys or fieldwork is an advantage.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel out of town for extended periods as required.
  • Proven experience in conducting phone surveys and other data collection methods.
  • Proficiency in local languages is an added advantage.
