An experienced and valued Civil Engineer/Lecturer with nineteen years’ experience working at Milton Margai College of Education and Technology that has now transformed to Milton Margai Technical University.
I started a career as a Draughtsman with the Guma Valley Water Company and worked for seven years, leaving in 1999 as Acting Senior Surveyor/Draughtsman. In 2003, I worked for Sierra Construction Systems (SCS) as Site Engineer, supervising the Construction and Rehabilitation of Connaught Hospital.
In 2005 work for AFRIRELIEF Inc. and Pror’y (German Company) in a joint consultancy on a World Bank, loan on Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Component for SALWACO, as local Expert/Consultant, Water and Sanitation Engineer.
In 2010 I was the Project Engineer/Consulltant for ActionAid International Sierra Leone attached to the European Union (EU) funded Non State Actor Project on Health, Water and Sanitation for Moyamba District and later served as District WASH Coordinator on a WASH consortium project for Adam Smith International and Actionaid International.
I enjoy the challenge in taking up project from inception to completion, including contractor/client interactions, construction drawings and designing, construction work and general supervision.
I demonstrate leadership skills that guide students to work as team towards achievement of civil engineering practical techniques and examination skills while maintaining tight deadlines and engineering integrity.
A multidisciplinary civil engineer with experience in building construction, concrete technology, land surveying, engineering mechanics, structures, geology and water and sanitation. I have demonstrated teaching skills and the ability to work in team setting as well as independently.
I am a registered member of the Sierra Leone Institute of Engineers with registration no. 376.
