About Candidate
In addition to the three years’ work experience as a Social Worker in livelihood and community development work, I also have over five years’ Volunteer work experience in administrative and Project Management. Due to my commitment to work, flexibility, willingness to serve mama Salone, and the ability to collaborate and work with the project beneficiaries, communities, and district stakeholders, I was promoted from the position of a Project Monitor to District Coordinator and National Coordinator for Plan Sierra Leone’s Food and Nutrition Project (funded by the World Food Program) and then the DFID supported ‘Reducing Ebola Transmission project’.
Based on my commitments, dedication, and willingness to serve humanity and build on my professional skills, I had to leave my job at Plan International to attend the 2015 Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF) for young Africans where I had a twelve-week training on Public Management and professional development experience in the United States of America.
I have had the privilege of working for the United States Government through Peace Corps over seven years as Regional Coordinator, Community Liaison Officer, Back-Up Safety & Security Manager and acted in roles as requested by my supervisor.
Community development, project management and the ability to coordinate programs and activities across units are some of my key strengths. I thrive in an environment in which I am given the space to perform my duties, challenge myself to go extra and lead initiatives aimed at problem solving with little supervision.
