I pursued Higher Teachers Certificate Secondary in Social Studies Government Option. I graduated with Division Two.
Work & Experience
• Develop and implement a comprehensive programme management plan, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables. • Coordinate and supervise the work of the coaching team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members, school administrators, and other stakeholders. • Monitor progress, identify challenges, and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the successful execution of the programme. Strategic Planning and Coordination: • Work closely with the Director of Education Initiatives to develop and refine the programme's strategic goals and objectives. • Collaborate with school administrators and teachers to align programme activities with school improvement plans and educational priorities. • Coordinate with external partners, experts, and community members to leverage additional resources and support for the programme. Resource Management: • Manage the programme budget, including financial planning, monitoring, and reporting. • Coordinate the procurement of necessary materials, equipment, and services to support programme activities. • Ensure efficient utilisation of resources and compliance with financial guidelines and donor requirements. Capacity Building and Training: • Identify training needs for the coaching team and coordinate the development and delivery of relevant capacity-building initiatives. • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among the coaching team. • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and mentoring opportunities to enhance coaching skills and instructional practices. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting: • Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the impact of the programme. • Collect, analyse, and report data on programme activities, teacher performance, and student outcomes. • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on programme progress, achievements, challenges, and recommendations. Quality Assurance and Improvement: • Ensure adherence to programme quality standards and best practices in coaching, teaching, and learning. • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate strategies. • Provide guidance and support to the coaching team in implementing effective coaching methodologies and practices. • Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership: • Build and maintain positive relationships with school administrators, government officials, and other key stakeholders. • Represent EducAid Sierra Leone in meetings, conferences, and forums related to secondary education. • Collaborate with external organisations and partners to enhance programme effectiveness and sustainability.
● Responsible for the implementation of EGRAM for teachers in the lower primary 1-3 classes in Bombali. ● Lead facilitator on concept of pedagogy; Numeracy and Literacy in other to help teachers develop new ideas that will enhance effective teaching and learning in the primary schools. ● Facilitates training for lead trainers. ● School visits to support teachers in the lower primary 1-3 classes. ● Supporting and monitoring of coaching activities and managing performance of lead trainers ● Work closely with Education Stakeholders in the mobilization of teachers’ training in the district. ● Support the implementation Manager with training event logistics. ● Help in ensuring that all delivery activities of Education Development Trust are done accurately. ● Support and Capacity building of Lead Trainers by providing ongoing coaching, mentoring and to develop their delivery of teacher training. ● Identify, report, own and manage district level risks and issues, in liaison with the implementation Manager and Project Coordinator. ● Administering pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) on both Numeracy and Literacy test to primary 1-3 teachers to evaluate their progress. ● Training of head teachers and school Management committees in the implementation of TLCs/COP at district level. ● Selection and training of lead trainers that are driving the TLCs. ● Routine monitoring and supporting of TLCs learning circles at school base level. ● Mobilization of teachers for TLCs sessions at cluster base level.
● Support Schools/ Heads and Teachers to improve Literacy, Numeracy, and behaviour management strategies in Education Innovation Challenge in randomly selected schools. ● Delivering residential training on literacy and Numeracy core contents. ● Working closely with Head Teachers in the EIC schools in ensuring their leadership reflects on the improvement of the school and the children’s literacy and Numeracy. ● Organizing termly training s for School Management Committees [SMCs] in primary schools for them to know their roles and responsibilities, and to bring the community closer to the school. ● Weekly visits to support and ensure teachers are implementing the new innovations or strategies learnt from the residential training. ● Supplying radios and loaded Pen drives (with phonics podcasts, & classroom management principles for both heads and teachers) to Education Innovation Challenge schools. ● Coordinating the activities of 60 untrained and unqualified teachers to pursue primary and secondary Teaching certificates at Ernest Bai Koroma University - Bombali and Port Loko branches.
● Ensure the children acquire free quality and holistic education. ● Improving staff performance through training. ● Ensuring daily checking and addressing children’s welfare in my care ● Working closely with Ministry of Baic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE)and the West African Examinations Council to submit external examination documents. ● Supervising and supporting teachers in classroom activities; evaluating their performance and giving constructive feedback. ● Organise mini trainings to help teachers acquire classroom practices such as taking registration and balancing or closing registers at the end of every week. ● Monitoring unit tests to ensure the academic progress of children. ● Overseeing and managing the entire affairs of the school. ● Setting supervisory targets for teachers in other to improve on their weaker areas. ● Assessment and evaluation of teachers and make recommendations for training needs for them to acquire wide range of teaching methodologies.
● Coordinate Extra- Curricular activities within EducAid Sierra Leone Schools to broaden the Horizon of children/students. ● Ensure that students develop their inner skills like critical thinking, teamwork, organising, and problem-solving skills. ● Design different club materials for learners within EducAid schools.
● Supervises daily site work example: stone pitching and grass planting. ● Ensure safety for all workers on site. ● Supply safety equipment such as Personal Protective Equipment [PPE] to employees. ● Prepare daily site reports and submit to expert supervisor. ● Organise safety daily toolbox meetings on site.
