Position Overview
The Acute Needs Program Surveyor is responsible for surveying client acute needs. This is a community – based position. The person in this position should be someone who is a good communicator and an advocate with Acute Needs Program staff, PIH colleagues, and most importantly clients. This person must be very well organized, motivated, reliable, and passionate about patient care and hardworking. Field based work is limited within the catchment regions of Kono District (All 14 Chiefdoms across the district). This individual works with the Acute Needs Program Officer and the other ANP Surveyors
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
Specific Responsibilities: 

  •   Keep regular and updated records of those that receive the ANP home survey 
  • Receive patient names, address and other necessary information of people to be surveyed from the ANP Program Officer 
  • Learn how to use assessment tool with objectivity, give feedback on the assessment tool and assessment process to the program Officer 
  • Develop a weekly schedule with the ANP officer for completing assessment  
  • Advocate on behalf of patients to the ANP Officer and Committee members. 
  • Maintain client confidentiality  
  • Adhere to PIH policy and do not accept gifts or payments from clients in the community 
Education and Work Experience Requirements: 
Requirements:

  • BECCE (WASSCE preferred) 
  • Computer skills (strongly preferred) 
  • Able to speak fluent Kono, Krio, and English (preferred)  
  • Strong organizational and managerial skills, problem solver, creative thinker, and flexible 
  • Must be 18 years and above
