BBC Media Action, the international charity of the BBC, invites reputable and qualified security companies to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of professional security services at our office located at 41s Derrick Drive, Off Spur Road, Freetown.
- Scope of Work
- 24-hour in-person guarding
- Access control for staff, visitors, partners, and vehicles • Regular internal and external patrols
- Incident reporting, escalation, and emergency response • Protection of BBC Media Action property and equipment
- Compliance with all BBC Media Action Health, Safety, and Security procedures

Interested companies must submit a technical proposal containing the following:
➢ Organization Profile
- Background, vision, and mission
- Organizational structure and staffing capacity
- Evidence of past or current contracts with NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies, or embassies
- References from clients
- Legal Status in Sierra Leone, including company registration • A valid tax clearance certificate
➢ Staff Benefits
- Details of staff salaries and other benefits (health insurance, pensions, allowances, etc.)
➢ Emergency Response Services
- Availability and capacity for rapid response in emergencies ➢ Equipment Provided to Security Guards
- Uniforms, communication devices, protective gear, and other relevant equipment
➢ Recruitment and Training Processes
- Background checks, vetting procedures, and training programs for guards ➢ Security Procedures and Safety
- Internal policies, reporting mechanisms, and compliance with safeguarding standards
Note: All contracted firms must comply with BBC Media Action’s safeguarding, health and safety requirements, and code of conduct.
