BRAC MICROFINANCE (SL) LIMITED is seeking applications from competent, dynamic, and self-motivated individual to fill up the following position.

Position (1): DRIVER

Job Location: Freetown, Sierra Leone 

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Adhere strictly to traffic laws and organizational driving policies. 
    • Safely transport staff, visitors, and materials to designated destinations on time.
    • Ensure proper route planning and compliance with all traffic regulations.
    • Maintain professional conduct and courtesy while driving.
    • Conduct daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, water, brakes, tires, lights, etc.).
    • Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
    • Promptly report any mechanical issues or damages to the supervisor.
    • Ensure all vehicle documents (license, insurance, registration, etc.) are valid and up to date.
    • Record all trips in the vehicle logbook.
    • Maintain effective communication with the supervisor and relevant departments.
  • Maintain a positive image of the organization through professional behavior. 

REQUIRED SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent driving skills with a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety rules, traffic laws, and defensive driving techniques.
  • Ability to drive safely under various road and weather conditions.
  • Strong ability to meet schedules and deadlines.
  • Reliable in managing multiple assignments or trips.
  • Good verbal communication for interacting with staff, visitors, and supervisors.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and report issues promptly.
  • High sense of responsibility for passenger and vehicle safety.
  • Maintains composure and alertness while driving.
  • Follows organizational safety and security protocols.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • The candidate must have WASSCE result
  • A valid driving license and driving certificate from any technical institute will be an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years driving experience in a reputable organisation
