- POSITION OVERVIEW
ASA Microfinance (SL) Ltd is seeking application from suitable qualified Sierra Leoneans for the position of Driver
The Driver provides safe reliable, confidential and professional driving services to the Chief Executive Officer of ASA Microfinance (SL) Ltd. The role ensures the CEO’s movement is efficient, secure and reflects the corporate image of the institution.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Driving & Logistics
- Safely transport the CEO to all official engagements: meetings branches, events, airport and regulatory visit within and outside Freetown
- Plan routes in advance to avoid traffic delays
- Monitor road conditions and security alerts
- Ensure punctuality for all CEO appointments
- Vehicle Management & Maintenance
- Daily check of vehicle: fuel, oil, water, brakes, tires lights and cleanliness
- Ensure the CEO’s vehicle is always clean, fueled, and in good working condition
- Log all trips, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Report defects to Finance and Administration Unit immediately
- Process vehicle service and ensuring documents are valid: insurance & Protocol
- Maintain strict confidentiality on all CEO conversations documents and movements
- Observe defensive driving and basic security protocols
- Alert the finance manager to any security concerns
- Maintain high level of professionalism, courtesy and corporate image always
- Assist with loading/unloading of documents and luggage as required
- Administrative Support
- Run official errands for the CEO Office: bank documents, courier, etc
- Act as a point of contact for CEO’s schedule coordination teams
- KEY REQUIREMENTS
3.1. Qualifications:
- West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Certificate or able to read and write minimum
- Valid Sierra Leone Dirver’s License – Class B & D
- Minimum 5 years driving experience, with at least 2 years driving for an executive
- Proven experience of driving to the provincial towns of Sierra Leone
3.2. Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of Freetown and major routes in Sierra Leone
- Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic mechanics
- High level of discretion, integrity, and confidentially
- Excellent communication skills and profession conduct
- Physically fit and able to work flexible hours, weekend and travel
- Clean driving record with no major traffic offences
- WORKING CONDITIONS
- May be required to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Maus be available for out-of-town travel with the CEO
- Must adhere to ASA Code of Conduct, Anti-Fraud, and AML policies
