Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Freetown
Department: Engineering / Maintenance
Reports to: Chief Engineer
Job Purpose A
To ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of all electrical systems within the hotel, supporting guest comfort and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems (power supply, lighting, generators, switchboards).
- Ensure compliance with Sierra Leone electrical regulations and safety standards.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives. • Supervise electrical technicians and contractors.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance. • Respond promptly to electrical faults and emergencies.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university (e.g., Fourah Bay College or equivalent).
- Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Engineering Registration Council of Sierra Leone.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience (hospitality experience is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of power systems, generators, and building services.
