Mechanical Engineer 

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer 

Location: Freetown 

Department: Engineering / Maintenance 

Reports to: Chief Engineer 

Job Purpose 

To ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical systems including  plumbing, generators, pumps, and HVAC support systems. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Maintain and repair mechanical equipment (pumps, boilers, generators, elevators etc).
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements. • Supervise technicians and external contractors.
  • Maintain documentation and maintenance logs.

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university.
  • Registration or eligibility with the Engineering Registration Council of Sierra Leone.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance. • Experience in hospitality or facility management is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices • Leadership and teamwork
  • Good communication skills
