Coordinates/Liaisons with: Departmental Supervisors
SGBV and Child Rape Victim support
– Monitor all cases carefully
– Conduct counselling with victims and families and explain the process to them. – Liaise with FSU, Police, Don Bosco, Lawyers and other partners around the case. – Attend court sittings if necessary.
– Attend Community of Practice on SGBV every month as a representative of AWC. – Ensure all materials for SGBV survivors are available, e.g. Clothes, books, toys, cookies, juice. – Follow up sessions with survivors
– Follow up visits at home of survivors
– Ensure all forms are filled in correctly and signed by SGBV survivor, caretaker and AWC staff – Follow AWC SGBV Guidelines and Procedures
– Keep the SGBV data base updated and share it monthly with Country Director
Teenage Girls (Dream Girls Programme)
– Conduct group and individual counselling with all new Dream Girls.
– Be available to speak to any Dream Girls during/after class if they want any counselling. – Report any emergencies or serious cases to Programmes Manager immediately. – Work with Programs Officer, Teacher and Programs Manager in identifying girls to return to
school through Education Aid partnership. Conduct interviews with Programs Officer, Teacher and Programs Manager with identified girls.
– Report any updates, issues, challenges to the CD immediately
Maternity
– Do daily ward rounds to check on all patients and provide counselling to any that are in need.
– Check in with Departmental supervisor daily to see if they have any concerns about patients. – Report any updates, issues, challenges to the CD immediately
– Identify teenage girls
Fistula
– Do daily ward rounds to check on all patients and provide counselling to any that are in need.
– Check in with Departmental supervisor daily to see if they have any concerns about patients. – Encourage fistula patients to become Fistula Ambassadors.
– Report any updates, issues, challenges to the CD immediately
Skill Training Centre:
– Conduct background checks with Programs Manager and STC Supervisor of new girls for the hostel.
Aberdeen Women’s Centre

– Conduct regular group and individual counselling with STC girls.
– Report any updates, issues, challenges to the CD immediately
All departments:
– Enhance coping capacities of patients challenged with feelings of loss, grief, family disorder, depression, anxiety disorder;
– Provide regular therapeutic and guidance counselling services to teenage girls, fistula patients, SGBV survivors and in-facility patients;
– Do daily routine checks with all departments to identify patients counselling needs; – Conduct case and background profiling on identified less privilege teenage girls booked into the AWC teenage program;
– With support from the Programs Manager, facilitate the family reunification process for child rape victims, ensuring AWC’s protocols are adhered to regarding discharging a child rape victim to keep the child’s safety and welfare the priority;
– Prepare detailed notes and monthly progressive reports on all activities completed, including counselling sessions;
General
– Work closely with Programs Manager to create case studies to be sent to Country Director for review, ensuring consent forms are signed by patients.
– Attend weekly Programs Department meetings
– Ensure all weekly update sheets are provided to SGBV progress report – monthly – Build a strong relationship with all relevant NGOs and Partners
– Be the first contact person for FSU, Police, court and all our Partners
– Create ideas and a workplan to improve SGBV unit.
– Monitor the Survivor Solidarity Fund Budget
– Follow up on workplan and ensure the workplan and ideas take place
– Attend Survivor Solidarity Fund meetings
– Intensify our relationships with partners
– Identify and develop new partnerships with NGOs, Ministries and others
– Ensure case studies are provided to Country Director weekly
– Any other duties as may reasonably be required by the CD or Programs Manager
