Role Summary

 

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales & Marketing Representative to join our team in Sierra Leone. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) portfolio across the country, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. Experience in the plastics sector is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed assigned targets across all regions of Sierra Leone.
  • Identify, approach, and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and key accounts.
  • Conduct regular market visits and territory coverage across urban and rural areas.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales and marketing strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to management.
  • Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain team to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Support the execution of promotional campaigns, product launches, and trade activations.
  • Manage order processing, collections, and ensure compliance with credit terms.

Qualifications & Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales or marketing within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Sierra Leone’s geography, including regional markets, trade routes, and distribution networks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a territory with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, email, reporting tools).

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Prior experience in the plastics or packaging industry is a strong advantage.
  • Valid motorcycle riding license and ability to ride a motorcycle for field operations in remote or hard-to-reach areas.
  • Familiarity with local languages and dialects across different regions of Sierra Leone.
  • Existing network of distributors and retail contacts across the country.
