BRAC Microfinance (SL) Limited is seeking applications from competent, dynamic, and self-motivated individuals to fill up the following position.

Position           : Human Resource Officer

No of Position         : Three (3)

Job Location           : Country Wide (Freetown, Makeni & Bo Regions)

 

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Liaise with insurance providers on policy updates and employee inquiries. 
  • Ensure timely submission of required documentation for new hires and exiting staff.
  • Educate employees on medical insurance benefits and coverage.
  • Coordinate the processing and renewal of work permits, residence permits, visas, and other related documentation. 
  • Ensure compliance with national immigration and labor regulations.
  • Monitor talent pipelines and succession planning efforts.
  • Support culture-building initiatives, including accountability and discipline.
  • Actively promote employee engagement through cultural change and staff motivation schemes.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
  •  Provide advice and support to staff on HR-related queries.
  • Coordinate disciplinary investigations, hearings, and grievance procedures in accordance with HR policies.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIMS/HRIS systems, Excel, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to details and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

 

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Promote a safe work environment in all your dealings. 
  • Avoid actions, which may cause any form of harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation of team members to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding. 

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Additional certification/training in HR Analytics, Data Science, or related field is desirable.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in HR roles, with at least 1–2 years in HR analytics, reporting or HRIMS management.
  • Experience with and knowledge of employment laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts, and practices. Good understanding of the local labor law.

  • Attach copy of Academic Certificates, CV and application.
  • Attach photocopy of National ID Card 
  • Selected candidates will be required to provide an updated police clearance.
