Job Description
DelAgua is expanding its operations in Sierra Leone and is currently recruiting for a variety of roles. The ‘Liv Fyn’ programme will expand to multiple districts with a staff team required to roll out the initiative at the district, chiefdom and village levels. Please refer to the detailed job description for more information.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Role Proe:
DelAgua Health Sierra Leone (Implementation) Ltd is implementing its cookstove program across the country. The Program Coordinator plays a key role in the implementation of the program at the district level. The Program Coordinator will report to the Country Representative and will work closely with other senior staff (Supply Chain Coordinator & Data Training Analyst.) He/she will be a professional who is involved in managing the day-to-day operations and will spend time working between the head office and the distribution locations. They will organize and communicate details related to different assignments or tasks to their team of Distribution Coordinators while serving as an interface between team members and the Country Representative.
Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the development and implementation of successful distribution plans for assigned districts.
- Lead communications and coordinate regularly with local government officials and communities.
- Lead a team of Distribution Coordinators and other field staff in logistics, planning and coordinating program operations.
- Oversee orientation and training of Distribution Coordinators and Assistant Distribution Coordinators
- Develop and maintain Distribution Coordinator work schedules, timesheets, and determine priorities.
- Communicate regularly with Supply Chain Coordinator, compiling regular reports from Distribution Coordinators on the status of distribution-level training and logistics activities.
- Supervise Distribution Coordinators for microplanning, including conducting site assessments of warehousing and distribution points within the distribution and the colline.
- Support the DTA with planning and implementation of follow-up surveys (household visits) by DCs/ADCs and with baseline surveys in future distribution areas yet to be covered.
- Support the DTA in follow-up training and visitation campaigns (household visits) including providing relevant input around education and training materials for community-based workers.
- Facilitate scheduling and planning of training events to be held at district levels.
- Prepare district level budgets for training, logistics and other program operation activities under the direction of Country Representative and provide accompanying financial reports in a timely manner.
- Take responsibility for ensuring the appropriate management and upkeep of phones for use during distribution activities.
- Perform other project related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Five years of experience in program management or any related service.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with Local Government and communities in a similar role is a plus
- Ability to work on tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrable experience of team-management and leadership skills.
- Educated to University level preferably a degree in project management or related field
- Full proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
