JOB TITLE: Project Officer
LOCATION: Freetown
REPORTS TO: Projects Manager
DURATION: 12 Months (with the possibility of an extension)

About the role
The Project Officer job is an exciting role within our project delivery team, responsible for a range of project management, administrative and logistical functions. It also involves working closely with our research, production, finance teams and partners in Freetown and around the country to deliver our various projects.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a strong team player with excellent project administration and interpersonal skills as part of their responsibilities and duties, the Project Officer will support and facilitate the execution of all project deliverables and support the team in the implementation of all project activities, planning and budgeting. With support from the Project Manager, they will develop workplans and participate in procurement and other operational and administrative processes. Help in relating our work with partners and donor requirement. The Project Officer’s role also involves supporting management in the day-to-day running of the country office as necessary. As such, the project officer role requires strong organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail is an important competency for this role. They will have a good knowledge project management software and tools such as excel and Microsoft Office. The nature of the work we do requires a lot of flexibility, passion, and willingness to learn new skills.
