Overview of Company: TANDEEN Group of Companies Limited is a local conglomerate with multiple areas of expertise offering professional services. The Company has a core of committed and dedicated local Technical Staff working together with experienced Engineers in place to strengthen its human resource. 

The Management of the Company has grown with a substantial increase in the share capital. Using it experience, TANDEEN Sierra Leone will continually play a professional and technical management partner role in serving institutions, organizations with interest in delivering services or products. 

The Company is engaged in the following: Procurement and sales of prepaid AMI Metering; Designing and consulting department on a wide range of engineering service, Prefabricated housing; Supervision of constructions of reinforced concrete structures, Supervision of constructions of steel structures, Surveying, Solar Energy Installations, Fishing etc.

Job Title: Account Officer 

Purpose of the Role:

To help the company make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company’s finances. To manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.

Reporting To: Functionally, the CEO and Managing Director and Technically the Commercial manager or their designee. 

Qualification: BSc / HND in Accounting, Finance, or relevant professional certificate – ACCA level 2, CIMA, or related areas.  

Practical Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role.

Location: Freetown, Goderich

Contract type: Full time / Open ended.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following.

  • Collecting, tracking, and correcting the company’s finances.
  • Preparing financial statements, reports, and Tax returns. 
  • Analyzing accounting data, trends, costs, revenues, and obligations.  
  • Advising management on financial decisions, efficiencies, and risk analysis.     
  • Processing tax payments and returns. 
  • Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Monthly Payroll and tax administration.
  • Reconcile account payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely bank payments. 
  • Prepare income and expenditure statements when required.
  • Reinforce finance data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
  • Report on company’s financial health and liquidity.
  • Actively develop an approach to the continuous improvement of internal controls and management reporting systems 
  • Any other duty that may be assigned to with time.
