BRAC Microfinance (SL) Limited is seeking applications from competent, dynamic, and self-motivated individual to fill up the following position.

Position : Credit Officer

No of Position           : Thirty (30)

Job Location : Country Wide (Freetown, Waterloo, Makeni & Bo)

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mobilize, recruit, and train clients and community groups on financial literacy and loan procedures.
• Conduct client appraisals and prepare accurate credit assessments.
• Disburse and monitor loans to ensure proper utilization and timely repayment.
• Maintain high portfolio quality through effective follow-up and client relationship management.
• Prepare periodic reports and ensure compliance with the organization’s lending policies.
• Represent the organization positively within the communities served.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:

• Credit appraisal and loan assessment skills
•  Ability to analyze clients’ cash flow and repayment capacity
• Knowledge of microfinance products, lending procedures, and policies
•  Basic accounting and numeracy skills
•  Record keeping and documentation accuracy
•  Understanding of risk management and portfolio quality (PAR, arrears management)
• Strong analytical and decision-making ability
• Ability to identify potential credit risks early
• Problem-solving skills in handling delinquent accounts

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
2. Promote a safe work environment in all your dealings. 
3. Avoid actions, which may cause any form of harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation of team members to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding. 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Development Studies, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of field experience in microfinance, or community-based lending. We also encourage fresh graduates from recognized universities and colleges.
• Attach photocopy of Nation ID Card, Passport or Birth Certificate
• Attach copy of Academic Certificates
• Must be willing to work in rural or semi-urban communities.
