Job Description
Terms of Reference (TOR) for Project Manager
Project: Proactive Community Case Management (ProCCM) Project
Organization: Sustainable Health Systems Sierra Leone (SHSSL)
Location: Freetown, Sierra Leone
Reporting to: Principal Investigator
Duration: 1 Year
Purpose of the Position: The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of the ProCCM project, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Strategy: Develop and refine project plans, aligning them with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead the project team, set performance goals, and support professional development.
- Financial Management: Oversee project budget, ensure financial accountability, and report financial status to organizational leadership.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation framework to assess project progress and impact.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary representative of the project in all stakeholder interactions, maintaining positive relationships and partnerships.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate project reporting to stakeholders and funding bodies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in public health, management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in public health or a related field.
- Skills: Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Proficiency in project management software is essential.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strategic Project Management: Proven ability to develop and execute project strategies that successfully meet objectives.
- Financial Acuity: Strong understanding of budgeting and financial management.
- Effective Communication: Excellent skills in both written and verbal communication.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust to new challenges and changing project scopes.
