Background

This project, Sierra Leone Integrated Routine Immunization: Find Everyone Everywhere (FEE) is meant to complement the ongoing efforts of the Government of Sierra Leone in mobilizing eligible population to get vaccinated. Under this project, staff and volunteers of the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society (SLRCS) will team up with the various vaccination teams (both old and new) from the respective Districts (Port Loko, Kambia, Bombali, Karene and Tonkolili) Health Management Teams (DHMTs), including representatives from EPI and RCCE, CSOs and other partners in the health sector to enhance the uptake and coverage of routine immunization including COVID-19, HPV and Malaria vaccines. The SLRCS’ staff and volunteers will exclusively embark on social mobilization and demand generation, whereas the mobile vaccination teams will carry out the immunization processes themselves in designated communities. 

Purpose

To improve vaccine access and storage in under-served/hard to reach communities, the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society through the GAVI funded project – Find Everyone Everywhere is procuring five (5) cold chain refrigerators and ten (10) vaccine carriers to strengthen the cold chain system at of DHMT level. This will ensure the safe storage and transportation of vaccines, maintaining their potency and efficacy during campaigns and routine immunization. 

Objective

The purpose of this advertisement is to invite competitive bids from reputable suppliers who can provide high-quality cold chain refrigerators and vaccine carriers that meet national and international standards and tools and equipment support to improve the District and National Health Medical Team.

The Sierra Leone Red Cross Society (SLRCS) now invites sealed bids from eligible suppliers as follows:

There are two lots in this RFQ. 

A bidder can apply for any of the Lots and or apply for all Lots.

Note: Bidders may bid for any of the above. Partial Quotations will be considered non-responsive.

Bidding will be conducted through a national Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure in accordance with the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society procurement manual which is in line with National Public Procurement Act 2016, and open to all eligible bidders defined in the Bid Document.

Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and collect the bidding documents free of cost from the Procurement Unit, Sierra Leone Red Cross Society, #6 Liverpool Street, Freetown from 10:00 am to 3:30pm – Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

Bids must be marked on the outer envelope “Lot 1 and or Lot 2’’ and delivered to the above office on or before: 2:00 PM on or before 27th December 2024 and must be accompanied by the following documentation: 

• A true copy of a valid business registration certificate.
• A true copy of a valid and updated tax certificate from the National Revenue Authority (NRA).
• A true copy of a valid and updated clearance certificate from NASSIT.

Submission deadline: 

On or before 3:30 PM Friday 27th December, 2024.

Sierra Leone Red Cross Society reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the offers without assigning any reason whatsoever and is not bound to accept incomplete Bids.
