TERMS OF REFERENCE
COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
CARE SIERRA LEONE
JOB PURPOSE: To provide a support function to Communications Unit of CARE Sierra Leone
DURATION: Twelve (12) months
PROPOSED START DATE: 1st February 2024
END DATE: 31st January 2025
DEPARTMENT: Communications and Advocacy
NAME:
SUPERVISION: The Communications Intern will be supervised directly by the Communications, Advocacy and Learning Advisor (Brima Abdulai Sheriff)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Communications Intern will work under the direct supervision of the Communications, Advocacy and Learning Advisor, and the intern will be coached by the CALA in the execution of their main duties as follows:
- Assist in populating CARE’s social media handles (Facebook, Twitter and any other)
- Support the CALA in the development of publications
- Assist CALA to capture images and videos of CARE and Partner Activities
- Capture and Edit videos for contents on our social media pages and handles
- Assist CALA in capturing and collecting success stories
- Assist in graphic designs of contents from CARE and Partners
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor
ELIGIBILITY
- Interns are eligible for the following benefits, which may be taxable:
- Airtime stipend of SLE 150-200/month, depending on the nature of the internship
- Use of a CARE laptop while in the CARE office only
- A CARE email address for use in internship duties
- The Monthly stipend shall include coverage of CARE’s 15 paid holidays per year plus any days of year-end office closure as pre-determined by management (but any emergency office closure days shall be prorated and deducted from the monthly stipend amount)
Interns must sign and abide by all relevant CARE policies, including but not limited to technology policy, code of conduct, anti-fraud, PSHEA policy, and conflict of interest disclosure. Interns do not typically travel to field locations nor interact with project participants in the course of their duties; such engagement requires the written exception of the CD.

REMUNERATION
- ICT Intern will receive a monthly stipend of ——— towards their transportation costs and other basic expenses during the duration of their internship.
