World Vision International Sierra Leone (WVISL) has been operational since 1996 assisting communities with various interventions in health, education, child protection, water & sanitation and livelihoods.

 

Applications are requested for suitably qualified Sierra Leoneans to fill the position of “Intern” Sulima and Sanda Terrain Chiefdoms. 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under the guidance of the PME coordinator, collect, aggregate, and analyse programmatic data of CESP, IH4CS, and SS4CS projects and present to the PME Coordinator and AP manager for reporting and decision-making
  • Check and verify the data received from different programme teams within Sulima AP for accuracy, consistency and reliability.
  • Under the guidance of the PME coordinator design and deploy online data collection tools like Kobo Collect, for efficient data management.
  • In consultation with the PME coordinator, enter M&E data into the M&E databases such as Strategy Performance Scorecard, GISI, Accountability, CVA database, CHW database, and CMAM database. 
  • Under the guidance of the PME coordinator review the data entered by Project Officers into the M&E databases. Check for consistency, accuracy, timeliness, integrity, reliability and validity
  • Support the PME coordinator to archive AP and project documents in the box platform and create a SharePoint to promote intra and inter-collaboration. 
  • Under the guidance of the PME Coordinator, document success stories, case studies and impact stories and send it to the AP manager. 
  • In consultation with the PME coordinator, roll out programme accountability mechanisms that promote the provision of information, consultation, and participation of participants including children, and collection and acting on complaints and feedback.
  • In consultation with the PME coordinator, guide Local Institutions to identify and resolve issues and challenges in monitoring systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:  EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

 

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification            

  • Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, Data Science, Project Management or related field. 

Eligibility for Selection

  • A recent graduate from a recognized university (graduated no earlier than 2021).
  • Passion for serving vulnerable communities, especially the most vulnerable children.
  • Adaptability and sensitivity to diverse cultural contexts.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement    

  • Work environment:  Office-based with frequent travel to the field
  • Travel:  5% Domestic travel is required
