Job Title: Senior Monitoring, Learning and MIS Officer
Reporting to: Monitoring Manager
Location Sierra Leone Country Office (HQ)

JOB PURPOSE:

Support the effective implementation of the M&E system for the AIM programme. Supervise field-based M&E staff, ensure quality monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, and contribute to strengthening the overall M&E framework across the programme.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Supervise and provide guidance to the M&E field staff to ensure timely and accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting 
  • Overseeing data collection – supporting the design and overseeing the implementation of a M&L framework to collect, clean and manage data, working with regional M&E officers and program team.
  • Programme analysis and evaluation – leading on the analysis of datasets; both quantitative and qualitative drawing balanced conclusions and communicating them clearly to internal and external audiences
  • Coordinate with the program team to track project /program progress, check and or verify MIS data consistency & accuracy and prepare program briefs for the team.
  • Support to maintain and update database of the country programs since BRAC’s inception in the country
  • Provide regular feedback to the M&E Manager on any issues or discrepancies identified during MIS verification and reporting
  • Support the M&E Manager in preparing reports and assist in organizing disseminations sessions with the senior management.
  • Support capacity building of both the monitoring and teams on the use of Binsight.
  • Ensure proper documentation of data, methodologies, and lessons learned for future program development.
  • Collaborate with other program teams to integrate M&E findings into decision-making p Provide regular updates to the M&E Manager on the progress of the monitoring and evaluation plan, activities, and field operations processes.
  • Train and build the capacity of field-based M&E staff to improve their performance in data collection, reporting, and analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and practices across all M&E activities and report any incidents as per safeguarding procedures.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Statistics, or related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least three years experiences in related field

 

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: CONTRACTUAL
